During DECAGONATHON 2021 the 3 Coin Drop competitors drank all of their walking beers/wines during the competition. Among the disgruntled losers was a sub-group of players who had been rebuffed by tens of upscale bar bartenders when they tried to order this pain in the ass to make apparently rare drink. The group randomly headed through Tropicana hitting a favorite machine or two while discussing the next stop for drinks. The plan was the “every player for themselves do/drink/eat whatever the hell you want” DECAGONATHON rule, find your own drinks, have fun. Just by chance one of the subgroup looking for an espresso martini popped into the bar area of Robert Irvine’s Public House and asked, “No way you can make an espresso martini, right?” the answer was some version of “yes, dumbass, this is a bar, we make drinks.” Everyone joined and a DECAGONATHON tradition was born.
